Mark Zuckerberg’s “Billy” Bison Now on Display
December 16, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment
Earlier in the year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shot and killed a gigantic bison. The wild hunt became necessary, it seems, because Zuckerberg wanted to remain faithful to his “personal challenge” to eat nothing but what he has killed himself. It’s believed that in order to accomplish the difficult task, he was required to take out a hunting license and that he shoot a big gun. He went on to make bison burgers out of the felled beast’s flesh. A personal Facebook picture of Mark’s that appeared at this year’s f8 conference was tagged “Bison Burgers.”
But, since Zuckerberg has not commented directly on the shooting, the giveaway evidence of the fatal event (for the Bison) is a picture of a mounted Bison head a wall of the conference room at Facebook’s old home in Palo Alto, California. Said conference room was used by Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO. The Bison head, which is endearingly — or not — called “Billy,” will be moved to the new Facebook offices in Menlo Park, CA.

Not that oranges are edible objects to scorn at when pulled from a velvety Christmas stocking, but the estimated 6.8 million folks who retrieved an Apple or Android mobile device from the socks hanging from the faux chimney (in California, at least), on X-mas would concede that the object they got was the better of the two choices.
Flurry Analytics took a hard look at the numbers and concluded that on December 25th, 6.8 million smartphones and tablets, combined, were activated worldwide. Flurry Analytics tallied the numbers by tracking activity on 140,000 apps. There was no disclosure about the individual totals for the two device brands. But what is known is that last Christmas only 2.5 million devices were activity, and 2011’s showing expresses a tremendous growth. It’s believed that approximately 10 billion apps were downloaded this year. In a two-hour span on Christmas, 7pm and 9pm, peopled downloaded 15 million apps.
Where Can I Find Marine Engines?
December 11, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Marine engines can be found online as well as in stores. They are sold at the same places where you would find boat parts and accessories. However, it depends on where you shop at for these items in terms as to how much money you can expect to spend. If you go to the actual store you may pay more for the products versus to if you buy them online
The name of the parts is what you are paying for basically. However, do not get me wrong because we all know that name brand stuff can be better than the off brand products. But, then on the other hand, sometimes the cheaper no name products can perform the same as the products that are double or triple the price. It basically comes down to what it is and what your outlook is on the whole situation. Ultimately, the decision remains up to you.
Overall, when purchasing these parts you will want to make sure that you bargain shop. . This is especially true if you are looking for Yamaha marine parts. Look around at multiple places before you just up and buy the first thing that catches your eye. Sometimes impulse buying can be a good thing. But, when the items are not close to being out of stock it is okay to browse around and see what different discounts and things you can run across. By doing this you make yourself save money that you can spend on other items.
Which Tweets Are Yours, and Which Are Your Employer’s?

This past July, Phonedog.com lodged a suit in court against Noah Kravitz, a former employee, on account of his retaining @Phonedog_Noah, the Twitter account he opened and posted from while working at the company. In the suit, Phonedog alleges that the Twitter account in question is company property, ditto for its thousands of followers, and is also claiming damages totaling $340,000.
Kravitz managed the @Phonedog_Noah while employed at Phonedog and kept it, apparently with the company’s blessing, after exiting the company in October 2010. In a phone interview with the New York Times, Noah Kravitz says that upon leaving his post, the company requested that he “tweet on their behalf from time to time and I said sure, as we were parting on good terms.”
When pressed for comments by the same paper, Phonedog replied: “The costs and resources invested by PhoneDog Media into growing its followers, fans and general brand awareness through social media are substantial and are considered property of PhoneDog Media L.L.C. We intend to aggressively protect our customer lists and confidential information, intellectual property, trademark and brands.”
Legal brains are noting that the suit will set a precedent in the area of social media account ownership.

Japan is known for having unique and tech-forward vending machines, from machines that sell live crabs to advanced units with facial recognition technology and a full HD display. To continue with the innovation, a Tokyo-based beverage company just unveiled its latest vending machine: one that offers soft drinks along with a side of Wi-Fi signals within a 50m radius.
TechCrunch.com reports that Asahi Soft Drinks has developed a unique vending machine that offers free Wi-Fi accessibility, with multiple devices, to anyone who walks by. This means that users don’t have to purchase a soft drink to go online. The vending machine allows users to access the web for nearly 30 minutes. After the machine disconnects the Wi-Fi, users can re-connect once again after logging in.
Asahi plans to install 1,000 of these vending machines throughout Japan, including Tokyo, Chubu, Sendai, Kinki, and Fukuoka, in the first year. The company will then set up nearly 10,000 more in the next five years.

The much-anticipated Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this January has got tech geeks foaming at the mouth for many good reasons, some of which include giant TVs. The Los Angeles Times reported that LG Display has announced it will be unveiling the world’s largest Organic-LED TV, and the world’s largest 3D LED TV at CES.
Just how big are these TVs? The Organic LED TV boasts a screen size of 55 inches, while the 3D LED TV boasts a whopping 72 inches.
The Los Angeles Times points out that although these TVs may or may not be budget-friendly, they will garner attention, especially from LG’s competitor, Samsung. The company told the Times of India that they have always aimed to “actively define and lead emerging display technology markets.” Up until now, OLED technology has been limited to smaller sizes. However, LG Display has manufactured a TV that breaks these obstacles.
The Consumer Electronics Show will be held in Las Vegas January 10-13.
