Having successfully laid the foundation to become one of the region's major financial institutions, the H Bank is now proud to count itself among Japan's largest regional financial institutions.
With an increasing number of banks in Japan, it has been necessary to equip ATMs with advanced security systems in order to discourage robberies, prevent would-be criminals, catch card fraud and settle disputes between clients and banks, thus giving bank personnel peace of mind and a better ability to focus on their jobs, while also leaving customers free to go about their business.
Having a reliable security system with seamless integration of alarm sensors were both major requirements of H Bank. Therefore, the optimal solution required a system with continuous recording duration and alarms activated on sensors triggered by unauthorized tampering with ATMs.
In the H Bank solution, the video captured from ATMs is recorded to removable hard disk drive installed in the AcroSecure DVR. The recording mode is set to ¡§motion detection¡¨ in order to record only the movements of customers accessing the ATMs. The security staff of H Bank can monitor the status of any ATM from a remote security center, made possible with network access. Security management can monitor live video via the Internet at any PC at anytime using the appropriate authentication protocols. For the purposes of archiving evidence, recorded video can be backed up to external USB CD-RW drives. Through MPEG-4 frame compression technology, capacity can be extended for recording over long periods of time. The user-friendly user interface offers easy operation and playback. In addition, administrators or managers can search for or download recorded video data on remote computers via the local network or the Internet, giving instant access and allowing for immediate action when needed. When ATMs are vandalized, the sensors will trigger alarms for real-time action. Over the past two years, AnexTEK¡¦s surveillance solutions have been implemented in numerous banks and prominent financial institutions in Taiwan and Japan. AnexTEK offers several lines of DVRs, scaleable for the most demanding of requirements and flexible for a wide range of industries. |

Security System of IC factory |
As the largest IC foundry in the world, this company not only emphasizes quality from the standpoint of solid products and first-rate personnel, but also in an advanced working environment and facilities. The AcroSecure Security System was customized to replace the existing surveillance system throughout all factories and warehouses. The system was tailored to meet the configuration needs for 128 cameras, eight sets of 16-channel DVRs, and eight sets of disk arrays.
The system required that all surveillance information be transmitted to the site of the central security center, recording live pictures from security gates, entrances, exits, elevators, restaurants, and product galleries. According to this IC company, “It’s essential for us to protect the security of our facilities, the safety of our personnel and protect against equipment misappropriation. It is vital for us to use the best in security surveillance. We need the most efficient functionality and stability with the latest in technology.”
The AcroSecure system offers significant performance and stability through a Linux-based platform. High compression rates are achieved through advanced MPEG-4 technology. The AcroSecure system also provides convenient remote access via the local network or the Internet. Most important to companies is the ability to connect RAID disk arrays, which extends recording duration up to three months. Limited storage capacity was a serious concern with the previous surveillance system, as the amount of recorded data from so many cameras made it difficult to keep us with storage demand. They set a goal of keeping recorded data up to three months for investigative and archiving purposes. The AcroSecure’s total solution is composed of a DVR and a disk array with capacity of up to 15 drives, allowing plenty of capacity in the present and more to grow into in the future.
Picture quality is another critical aspect in their specification. The company is pleased with the AcroSecure DVR’s high image resolution, as well as efficient display of real-time video. Security staff can monitor live pictures from the centralized security center or from a computer anywhere via the local network or the Internet, giving instant access and allowing for immediate action when needed. AcroSecure’s security solution met and even exceeded customer’s goals for a high-performance and efficient security system.

AcroSecure Security System at Telecommunications |
The T telecommunication company has striven to provide a full range of voice, SMS and GPRS wireless broadband network services in Taiwan. With more than 100 service centers in Taiwan where shoplifting and shrinkage are the primary security concerns. Currently, AcroSecure DVR’s are installed in six service centers with technical specification customized to fulfill the requirements of the telecom company. The AcroSecure security solution employed at the service centers is composed of 16 cameras connected to a DVR system. The system includes five internal built-in HDDs. Live pictures from gates, entrances, exits, service counters, warehouses and offices are recorded on the AcroSecure DVR.
In the past, they had to concern itself with limited storage capacity with the existing surveillance system, as the amount of recorded data from so many cameras made it difficult to keep up with storage capacity. T Telecom company set an operational target to keep recorded data archived up to one month for investigative and archiving purposes. Hence, the AcroSecure DVR was configured with five built-in HDDs in order to increase the recording duration under high-resolution requirements. Furthermore, it was also essential for T Telecom company to keep recorded data secure without the potential for data loss. The AcroSecure DVR integrates RAID features, including seamless data redundancy and prevention of data loss from HDD failure. In the event of a HDD failure, redundant HDDs substitute for the faulty drive in real-time without affecting the operation of the system.
The AcroSecure system offers superior performance and stability through a Linux-based platform. High compression rates are achieved through advanced MPEG-4 technology. The AcroSecure system also provides convenient remote access via the local network or the Internet. Security staff can monitor live pictures from a centralized security center or from a computer or Pocket PC anywhere via the local network or the Internet, giving instant access and allowing for immediate action when needed.
