CES 2013 Reviews: Parrot Unveils the AR. Drone 2.0

Parrot-AR-Drone-2
The innovative company famous for creating advanced wireless devices has done it again with the arrival of the new and improved AR. Drone 2.0. Showcased at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the AR. Drone 2.0 by Parrot comes with some remarkable features we couldn’t ignore: Director Mode, a black box, and a bigger battery. And, do we have to mention it does awesome barrel rolls?

Getting a bird’s eye view has never been easier, or more fun. Director Mode is all about getting those incredible HD video shots from the sky without all the shaky footage, thanks to the drone’s stabilization system and video post-processing features. Whether taking it out for indoor or outdoor flight sessions, users can control speed and moves in real time straight through their smart phones or tablets.

Director Mode also comes with movement settings such as traveling, pan, and crane, and special camera settings such as white balance, exposure and luminosity — everything you need to make an incredible film.

The AR. Drone 2.0 also comes with a new and impressive flight recorder; this GPS-enabled black box can store the drone’s position and is powerful enough to hold videos in its 4GB flash memory. Of course it comes with a USB connection too.

We’re also thrilled about the 50 percent larger battery, making it possible for users to film and play twice as long as before, up to nearly 18 minutes of fun and film.

Whether you’re a beginner or avid drone pilot, make sure to try out the drone’s incredible acrobatic maneuvers, such as loopings, and, yes those awesome barrel rolls!

Price of AR Drone 2.0 s $299 and it is available on AMAZON.
