Spread Out with a Display Wall
January 22, 2012 by publisher · Leave a Comment
If you spend much time working on a computer, it is important to have the right type of computer displays and other peripherals. Large screen displays are a very popular choice for any type of computer user; however, they are very useful if you do a lot of graphic design or photo editing, or working with video editing as the large screen gives you more room with which to work and is not as hard on your eyes as it can be when staring at a small screen all day.
If you work with a lot of data that needs to be reviewed constantly or compared against other data, a display wall is something you should consider. A display wall is comprised of multiple screens all fit together to form one extra large screen on which information can be displayed.
In addition to getting your computer workstation set up with all the proper computer peripherals that you need to conduct your work or other activities, you will also need to make sure you have some decent workstation furniture to keep you comfortable during the hours you spend working at the computer. You’ll want to be sure you have a good sized desk that is sturdy and has enough space for you to spread out any papers or other materials, and a chair that can be adjusted to fit you comfortably.
If you work at a console station or your office has a console station in it, you will also want to be sure that you have enough console furniture for that area. Multiple people usually staff a console station and in order to ensure productivity, they will all need furniture.

Maintaining the engine of your engine in marine environments is always a daunting task. From the brackish salty water to rust, there is always the likelihood of failure which makes constant replacement of parts and repairs fundamental. Getting the best parts is not as easy as you might expect because some manufacturers don’t take time to perfect their production. When looking for marine parts, you might also be considering the cost which is always high but have you exhausted all quarters where you can get good bargains? There are some key indicators that the company you are buying from has the prerequisite expertise in marine parts;
- Knowledge in the industry; is the company a start-up which cannot understand the essence of engine flushing for example or does it have some years and experience to show?
- The best company offers a wide range of parts for your engine from various manufacturers. In addition, the boat parts and accessories must have OEM specifications and standards or even surpass them. From exhaust systems to engine replacement, the company must have products from reputable companies such as Suzuki, Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, GM Vortec, Teleflex and Osco among others.
- Latest technologies; a good part and accessory seller must be in touch with the latest technologies in the industry. This will definitely help you while making the choices for the purchases you want to make. For example, do they have information about the latest mercury outboard parts?
With this in mind, you can shop easily by comparing the cost of the parts and refreshing the power of your engine.
Get a Lojack on Your Vehicles or Other Items
December 17, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
If you are ever wondering what happens to stolen items then lojack may be a good purchase for you! Lojack allows you to keep track of your stuff, even after it has been stolen. This is particularly advantageous for cars and laptops, both of which are usually fairly expensive, and are generally things that you don’t want to lose to a thief, especially not when you could pay to make it extremely difficult for people to steal these things and still get away with it.
Just like Lojack, a vehicle tracking system allow the person at the computer to basically see the route of the vehicle, and depending upon the detail of the tracking device, they may also be able to track stops, MPH, and even get a camera feed of the vehicle in real time.
There are quite a few new technologies out there that allow us to do some pretty impressive things with gps tracking systems, which are especially interesting when it comes to companies that have trucks delivering loads of merchandise to stores, because they can track the progress and mileage of company trucks in only a few minutes. This allows them to both reward drivers who are meeting their mileage quota, and also discipline drivers who are not meeting their quota, and all can be done from the comfort of the desk or even home office. Some products will even link to a smart phone or laptop, so you can view them on the go!
Mark Zuckerberg’s “Billy” Bison Now on Display
December 16, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment
Earlier in the year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shot and killed a gigantic bison. The wild hunt became necessary, it seems, because Zuckerberg wanted to remain faithful to his “personal challenge” to eat nothing but what he has killed himself. It’s believed that in order to accomplish the difficult task, he was required to take out a hunting license and that he shoot a big gun. He went on to make bison burgers out of the felled beast’s flesh. A personal Facebook picture of Mark’s that appeared at this year’s f8 conference was tagged “Bison Burgers.”
But, since Zuckerberg has not commented directly on the shooting, the giveaway evidence of the fatal event (for the Bison) is a picture of a mounted Bison head a wall of the conference room at Facebook’s old home in Palo Alto, California. Said conference room was used by Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO. The Bison head, which is endearingly — or not — called “Billy,” will be moved to the new Facebook offices in Menlo Park, CA.
2011 Numbers Spike for Portable Device Activation and App Downloads

Not that oranges are edible objects to scorn at when pulled from a velvety Christmas stocking, but the estimated 6.8 million folks who retrieved an Apple or Android mobile device from the socks hanging from the faux chimney (in California, at least), on X-mas would concede that the object they got was the better of the two choices.
Flurry Analytics took a hard look at the numbers and concluded that on December 25th, 6.8 million smartphones and tablets, combined, were activated worldwide. Flurry Analytics tallied the numbers by tracking activity on 140,000 apps. There was no disclosure about the individual totals for the two device brands. But what is known is that last Christmas only 2.5 million devices were activity, and 2011’s showing expresses a tremendous growth. It’s believed that approximately 10 billion apps were downloaded this year. In a two-hour span on Christmas, 7pm and 9pm, peopled downloaded 15 million apps.
Where Can I Find Marine Engines?
December 11, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Marine engines can be found online as well as in stores. They are sold at the same places where you would find boat parts and accessories. However, it depends on where you shop at for these items in terms as to how much money you can expect to spend. If you go to the actual store you may pay more for the products versus to if you buy them online
The name of the parts is what you are paying for basically. However, do not get me wrong because we all know that name brand stuff can be better than the off brand products. But, then on the other hand, sometimes the cheaper no name products can perform the same as the products that are double or triple the price. It basically comes down to what it is and what your outlook is on the whole situation. Ultimately, the decision remains up to you.
Overall, when purchasing these parts you will want to make sure that you bargain shop. . This is especially true if you are looking for Yamaha marine parts. Look around at multiple places before you just up and buy the first thing that catches your eye. Sometimes impulse buying can be a good thing. But, when the items are not close to being out of stock it is okay to browse around and see what different discounts and things you can run across. By doing this you make yourself save money that you can spend on other items.
Which Tweets Are Yours, and Which Are Your Employer’s?
December 8, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment
This past July, Phonedog.com lodged a suit in court against Noah Kravitz, a former employee, on account of his retaining @Phonedog_Noah, the Twitter account he opened and posted from while working at the company. In the suit, Phonedog alleges that the Twitter account in question is company property, ditto for its thousands of followers, and is also claiming damages totaling $340,000.
Kravitz managed the @Phonedog_Noah while employed at Phonedog and kept it, apparently with the company’s blessing, after exiting the company in October 2010. In a phone interview with the New York Times, Noah Kravitz says that upon leaving his post, the company requested that he “tweet on their behalf from time to time and I said sure, as we were parting on good terms.”
When pressed for comments by the same paper, Phonedog replied: “The costs and resources invested by PhoneDog Media into growing its followers, fans and general brand awareness through social media are substantial and are considered property of PhoneDog Media L.L.C. We intend to aggressively protect our customer lists and confidential information, intellectual property, trademark and brands.”
Legal brains are noting that the suit will set a precedent in the area of social media account ownership.
