All You Should Know About Spy Cameras

January 29, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

A Spy camera is a very useful tool in confirming fears of mischief going on be it at work, home or any other place. These cameras are usually small and hard to detect to the untrained eye. They come in all kinds of sophistication and pricing. A spy camera will usually be disguised in some other implement for example a wall clock, light switch, the TV, Radio, teddy bear, air purifier and a lot of other gadgets. The range of items in which a spy camera can be hidden is only limited by imagination.

Spy cameras differ in some key points namely; color and storage capability. Some are wired and others are wireless. It is possible to get a color spy camera but those of an earlier age were mainly in black and white. The resolution of the images is also differs from camera to camera. The amount of storage space is probably what differentiates spy camera prices. Some cameras can store several days’ worth of video while some can record only a few hours. The mode of storage also differs. Some modern cameras have data cards while some go along with the traditional digital video recorder.

While choosing spy cameras for home use, all the above points should be in mind. While going for a camera worth $600 might seem a bit excessive, it is important to have the correct mix of the different aspects so as to have quality images. After all, it is your home you really need to protect.

Wearable Speakers One of the Highlights of CES 2012

January 20, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Listening to music is part of many people’s exercise routine. But one of the big headaches is having to struggle with headphones in order to hear the music. Headphones with wires can get tangled during your workout while earbuds and earphones can be annoying and uncomfortable. So imagine if there was a way to have the music playing directly in your sweater’s hood, your pocket or any other place while you run or work out. Wouldn’t that solve a lot of problems?

It’s not science fiction – it was on display at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. At their booth, a company called Verisonix was showing off their new e-Speaker, which provides high-quality audio in an incredibly flexible design. How portable are these speakers? Portable enough that they can be sewn into clothing or folded up an used anywhere on the go.

The secret is that the e-Speakers are built using electrets, a thin piece of metal with magnetic qualities that is used as the diaphragm to project the music. Speakers using electrets require just a fraction of the power of traditional, electrostatic speakers (as low as 0.1 watts). Lower power means a lightweight and flexible design that can go almost anywhere.

In terms of the audio quality, it’s very good. The high end and middle range are quite nice, even if the low end leaves something to be desired. But then again, do you really need thumping bass for music being played in the hoodie of your sweatshirt? Verisonix said that they will not be selling the speakers directly but will be partnering with other companies who want to utilize the technology. With the huge range of possibilities for uses, it’s a safe bet that you hear – but maybe not see – these speakers a lot in the near future.

50 Cent Brings Star Power to SMS Audio Booth at CES

When you go to CES in Las Vegas, you expect to see the “rock stars” of the tech world. What you don’t usually expect to see is a bonafide music superstar at one of the booths. But that’s just what happened at the SMS Audio booth during this year’s show, as rapper and actor 50 Cent made an appearance at the booth to sign autographs and give away some products.

50 Cent was there to promote his own new company SMS Audio, which makes high-end headphones. Targeted toward music professionals and other high-end audio types, the SMS Audio headphones called “Street by 50″ feature top-end quality. They come in both wireless and standard models and are available for $399.95 and $299.95 respectively.

As you can imagine, having 50 Cent at the booth was a real boost to SMS Audio and it was one of the places to be during the show when he was there. 50 Cent spent time throughout the week at the booth signing autographs and meeting his fans. As you can imagine, the lines to meet 50 Cent were almost as long as waiting for an “American Idol” audition and things were pretty crazy. It was tough to get close enough to get an “up-close” picture of 50 Cent, but I was able to get some video footage of him at the booth.

SMS Audio had more than just star power on display at CES. They also turned to one of the standbys of trade show success to draw crowd – giveaways. SMS Audio give away five sets of autographed hats and headphones twice a day to fans who were at the show. I entered but didn’t win. Oh well – better luck next time.

CES 2012 Crowd
Article by Pierre Zarokian

Me and one of our staff members just got back from CES 2012 in Las Vegas and a have a lot of product reviews that will be posted in the next couple of weeks. The show was amazing and amazingly huge. 150,00 people were there and with 2 of us there in 2 days we were still not able to see the whole thing.

This year it seemed there were many more booth babes than ever. Please see some of the picture of these hot booth girls here.

This year like the past 3 years 3D TV was a hot topic. Other hot products included tablet PC’s and cell phone accessories. There were also plenty of new interesting gadgets, like: small vibrating speakers that made a bass sound when placed on large empty cardboard box or a wooden shelf; Gloves that let you use your touch screen phone; Screen that went in front of your laptop to make it 3D Capable and more. “Anything” wireless was also a hot topic, such as Wireless Speakers from several companies like Altec Lansing and Wiresless IP Security Cameras.

Rapper 50 Cent was also there with his new headphone company called SMS Audio, which also had a wireless version.

checkout our report on these bendable/wearable speakers.

Please stay tuned for our more detailed posts as well as videos in the next few days.

This year at Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012), there were more booth babes (AKA Booth Bunnies) than ever. Some of these women were wearing extremely skimpy clothes and some were in bikinis. Beautiful women were employed by many of the larger exhibitors and no doubt they attracted more eyeballs, but maybe not to their products.

Here we bring you some of the pictures of the hot girls from CES 2012.

GE, Square D, and FPE Circuit Breakers

December 18, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

There are a number of circuit breaker brands available, including Westinghouse and Siemens. Federal Pacific, or FPE circuit breakers, is another popular brand. Online suppliers often carry a range of new and used FPE circuit breakers. The retails price for these is usually between 700 and 3,000 dollars. The FPE circuit breakers usually have 3 poles and weigh an average of 2.5 pounds. All FPE products must pass a meticulous inspection and are subject to a 1-year warranty. On average, they can generate up to 600 volts.

GE is another popular brand of circuit breaker. GE breakers are usually much more affordable than FPE breakers, with prices beginning around $150. Their packaged weight is usually much heavier, sometimes up to 20 pounds. They contain 2 poles and can generate up to 600 volts.

Square D breakers offer quality and reliability for a slightly higher average price. The Square D MA36800, for example, retails at just over $1,500 dollars, has 3 poles, produces up to 600 volts, and operates at 800 amps. Like most brands of circuit breakers, Square D breakers run the gamut in terms of price; the more expensive ones tend to produce more voltage. Also, like GE and FPE, the more expensive breakers tend to weigh more; in the case of the MA36800, the packaged weight is a considerable 36 pounds, whereas some of the company’s lower-end merchandise might weight a quarter of that. Of course, it ultimately depends on your breaker needs, though no matter what they are, you’re likely to find what you need through one of these three brands

Professional Video Production Recommendations

December 15, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

I wouldn’t exactly say that most people’s home videos look anything like a professional video production. There are some real artists among the home movie makers out there, but most efforts seem like deliberate attempts to thwart the failsafe features built into expensive video cameras. Headache inducing shaky camera work stamped with random dates, focus continually fading in an out, and videos abruptly ending because of battery failure are all common. Few armatures take the time to familiarize themselves with all the great features their cameras have.

This is truly a shame because the disasters they make of their home videos could easily be avoided if they understood how to use their tools. The alternative is to pay for video production services dallas or any other major city will have people willing to do the job for you , and record your wedding, your child’s birthday, or graduation for posterity. But with a little investment of effort anyone can learn to make watchable home videos, and they will be glad they learned this skill.

For more involved digital video productions , like those needed for work related reasons, it’s probably best to seek out professional help in your movie making. You may want to be the star of your own TV commercial, and that’s all well and good. Car dealers in particular seem to love being in front of the camera. But being the director of your own commercial is much less advisable. Save yourself some trouble; get a professional.
